Springsteen ROCKS Greensboro and Long Island!
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band just rapped up two incredible shows on May 2nd and 4th in Greensboro, NC, and Long Island, NY. The Greensboro show was absolutely phenominal as Bruce and the band were hitting on all cylinders. The request spots were remarkable as bar band specials “Seventh Son” and “Hang on Sloopy” got their tour premieres. In addition to those cover songs, “I’m on Fire” was played as another sign request in addition to the long awaited return of “Human Touch” as a special shoutout.
Here is a video of “Hang on Sloopy” from Greensboro:
Then, last night, Bruce took the stage at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum for a sold out show in New York! The setlist was more focused on original Bruce material rather than covers, but one did slip into the setlist in the form of “Expressway to Your Heart.” Both “For You” and “Rendezvous” were special treats for the long time fans in attendance last night.

Overall, I would have to give the nod to Greensboro as that show just had a little more of a “party” atmosphere to it. However, the Nassau show was no slouch by any stretch of the imagination.
The Working on a Dream tour kicks back up tonight in Charlottesville, VA!
